Paperwork
My concept for this show was to lean into the 70s aesthetic for the main scenes, while playing on the modern-day megachurch feeling for the songs. We also had this idea of the audience being a part of the show because we are building a sense of community. This aided me in some of my decisions, primarily to make the lights move in the audience and make some lights point in the audience during the show to make them feel like they are part of it.
Color Palette

R63
R68
Front Light
Side Light
This is the color palette I drew on for this show, primarily for the incandescents. I drew this from the typical 70s color palette to make it feel rooted in that time. There were only two characters in the show who got their own color palette as well. Jesus became primarily cyan with R08 as the front light because he is warm and inviting. Judas became a deep blue with R63 as the front light because he is so similar to Jesus in what they want, but he's so different as well.
Full Stage Texture
R78404

G258

These are the two full-stage textures I chose for this Show. They were chosen primarily because they fit the 70s aesthetic I wanted the lights to focus on. The second gobo also fit in with the flower theme we were leaning on through the costumes.
Cathedral Windows
Gam 583

R43804

I had the idea early on to create these cathedral windows pointed at the walls of the theatre during the show. To do that, I used a glass gobo, a cathedral window gobo, and a 10-degree barrel to make them the correct size. I did this to make the audience feel like they are a part of the show because the show is extending all the way out into the audience. It was only on during the regular scenes, not the songs, and went completely out during Act 2 until the finale because we'd lost the hopeful and happy community feeling of Act 1.
Plot

This is my plot for the show. I learned a lot about making one and put all I learned into making this one better than before. We ran into some front light issues with this plot because of the hanging fabric over the audience, so it took some effort to work around that and come up with some innovative solutions.

Focus Magic Sheets

These are the focus sheets I made for myself to determine where the lights needed to be focused. It also allowed me to take notes about what lights needed to be refocused and notate when they were refocused.
Show Magic Sheet and Direct Selects

This is the magic sheet I created for myself using the EOS software during the show. Instead of trying to cram everything on one magic sheet, I decided to use Direct Selects as well to aid in cueing the show.
