Metalworking

Below are examples of Metalworking I did for a class in the Fall of 2025. Before I started, I did not know how to do metalwork at all, and by the end, I created an entire lamppost from scratch.

Mig Welding

Here is an example of the Mig welding I did while learning how to Mig weld for the first time. I was new to all metalworking before Fall of 2025

Twisting

Here is my twisting project. We were tasked to heat up the metal and twist it in a specific way that was replicable, then write that down and do that 3 more times. All four of my examples are also pictured.

Scrolling

This is my scrolling project. We were tasked with creating a shape and then heating up the small rod of metal and bending it around to create the same shape 4 times. I decided to make a treble clef because music is very important to me.

Plasma and Torch Cutting

Here is an example of the plasma and torch cutting we did. I had to cut out 5 of each shape with each type.

Gas Welding and Brazing

We quickly touched on gas welding (left) and brazing (right) before we did our final projects. Here are my examples of that.

Final Project

Here is my final project for my metal working class in photograph form. If you would like to read the construction journal as well, it is linked below.
